  1. I have never found anything better than a nokia for the outdoors for being robust! But we all know that's not why you have the pink one...

    1. The baby pink is becoming something of a recurring theme isn't it Sheri. It must be my sensitive side shining through :)

  2. Hi Stuart,

Yes, I like this. If I wasn't running a business, then I'd be right there with you rather and lugging a smart phone with several spare batteries.

One thing you might prefer to the zip-lock is an Aloksak. Remind me not long before we next see each other next and I'll dig one out for you. I have a box of assorted sizes somewhere...

    Cheers,

    Paul

    1. Hi Paul,

Glad you liked the article. I know that you use your phone very differently to the way that I do. I'll be honest, I don't envy you.

I'd use an Aloksak if I was sure of the right size to order, they're not the cheapest of things to be just guessing at sizes. If you've got a spare one Paul that's the right size I'd happily scrounge that from you ;)

      Cheers,

      Stuart.

  4. Enjoyed this Stuart. I to use a nokia 100 when working outdoors. Although mine is a standard issue drab colour. The button issue is particularly important when out in the hills.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the post Matt. If I remember correctly it was a conversation with you (amongst other) that lead me to look at the nokia 100 in the first place. We'll have to get you some dayglo sticky tape mate, jazz you up a bit.

The button/touchscreen issue is a really important one in my opinion. Buttons do not fail in the wet, touchscreens can fail completely when you're wet through. When it comes to a piece of kit that might save my life one day I'd rather not take the chance.

      All the best,

      Stuart.

  5. Excellent choice. I use these phones for training scenarios - good battery, robust, simple to use and I'm not going to cry if the screen cracks. Great read.
